F&M Trust recently donated $6,000 to The Salvation Army Harrisburg Capital City Region to support several of the organization’s fundraising programs in 2024. The Salvation Army provides basic needs assistance, self-sufficiency mentoring, workforce development, food pantries, nutrition education, youth programs, and emergency disaster services.
“The Salvation Army Harrisburg is so grateful for the generous donation from F&M Trust,” Resource Development Director Toni Mark said. “Over 55,000 people in our community utilize our services each year, so the impact of this gift will be felt community wide. We are grateful for our community partner, F&M Trust, for standing with us in our commitment to ‘Do the Most Good’ for our struggling neighbors.”
F&M Trust’s contribution will support fundraising events such as the Celebration of Dreams in May, Shoe Strut in September, and Be the Light in November/December. The Summer Youth Showcase program in August will also benefit from the donation.
“The Salvation Army makes a difference in the lives of so many living in Harrisburg and the Capital Region,” F&M Trust President & CEO Tim Henry said. “We are pleased to support an organization that strengthens the resilience of individuals, families, and communities, and helps so many to meet the challenges of life.”
