CHAMBERSBURG, Pa – Alyssa Proctor, Assistant Vice President, Investment & Trust Services Relationship Manager at F&M Trust, recently earned the Certified Financial Planner designation, which is issued by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.

The Certified Financial Planner credential, also known as the CFP, is awarded to individuals who have met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements of the CFP Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework and have passed the CFP Certification Examination.

The CFP program provides qualified individuals with an in-depth understanding of the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits and estate planning. In order to maintain the CFP designation, individuals must also agree to meet ongoing educational and ethical requirements

“More and more clients are seeking financial advice from highly qualified professionals, and the CFP program helps to ensure we can assist with their investment and retirement needs today and in the future,” said Matthew Berger, Vice President, Investment and Trust Services Market Manager at F&M Trust.

In her role at F&M Trust, Proctor is responsible for providing investment, trust, administration, estate planning and retirement planning services to clients and prospects in Franklin County and Shippensburg.

“Obtaining the CFP designation has been a goal of mine since joining the financial planning industry. When someone decides to work with a CFP practitioner, they can be assured that the advisor has the knowledge, experience and most importantly, the ethical duty, to act in their best interests and develop a comprehensive strategy to help them reach their financial goals,” Proctor said.

Active in her community, Proctor has participated in Relay for Life and Project Big Love. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Shippensburg University.

A subsidiary of Franklin Financial Corp., F&M Trust is an independent community bank headquartered in Chambersburg. With approximately $1.2 billion in assets, F&M Trust has twenty-two community-banking locations in Franklin, Cumberland, Fulton and Huntingdon counties.
